Foodie Penpal August

Het is een tijdje geleden dat ik voor het laatst iets gepost heb en dat betekent ook dat het al een tijdje geleden is dat ik iets gebakken heb.  Alhoewel ik vorige week nog een chocoladesoufflé gemaakt heb alleen vergeten ben daar een foto van te maken. De afgelopen paar weken was ik druk bezig de laatste tijd van de vakantie te vieren en nu is de studie begonnen, en blijkt dat een Master toch wel iets meer werk is dan een Bachelor. Toch gaat het bakken door, zo staat er zondag 22 september een bakwedstrijd op het programma tegen mijn paardrij-instructeur. Maar ik weet nu al dat ik ga winnen, geen discussie over mogelijk, haha. Een verslag volgt uiteraard! Voor nu ga ik over in het Engels, een kort verslag van mijn Foodie Penpal pakketje van afgelopen maand.

This month I received a package from Aimee from Londen. She send me some lovely stuff. Especially the chocolate, O M G, it was like taking a bite out  of heaven. She send me a 'Eton Mess' chocolatebar and 'Orange and cardamom', when I go to Londen some time I will buy a whole stock, that's for sure! The black olive tapenade and the wasabi powder is waiting to be tried with friends. Cause food is so much more fun with friends around. Thank you soo much Aimee for this lovely package!

Foodie Penpal July

Another Foodie Penpal reveal day. For the newcomers, this post will be in English cause it's an international event and Dutch isn't quit a world language yet.

This month I received a package from England again! Emma from Bath put a lovely package for me together with all kinds of baking decorations. I asked for a Cream Egg, cause a friend of mine told me I had to try one if I had that opportunity. Unfortunately it's something that's only sold around Easter, but instead she send me a Cadbury's Fruit and Nut bar. Which was delicious, even though it had kind of melted due to a heatwave in England and in The Netherlands. But I put it in the fridge for some hours and ate it in one time. Chocolate isn't safe with me, that's clear, haha. So no picture of that item, but I have made pictures of the other stuff, I've only used the fudge cubes in my brownies, but there is still some left for another bake.

Omg, I've always wanted this! I'm gonna bake some fairy cakes!
